Train for a career as a
bus driver

We're recruiting bus drivers for our local bus services across Kent and Medway,

and we're now able to offer training to achieve a bus driver licence.

The interview will comprise of a car/van driving assessment, after you have completed an application form. Please ensure that you bring with you your UK driving Licence, passport and/or birth certificate.

If your interview is successful

You'll be on your way to applying to the DVLA for a Provisional Category D Licence; we will help you to complete the form and book the medical which is part of the DVLA application process.

After you receive your Provisional Licence entitlement from DVLA, we will train you for the various stages

Complete the DVSA Theoory Test, Hazard Perception and Case Study

Practical


On-Road Training, then reverse test and driving test

New Career


Once you obtain your licence you will spend the first 7 days learning the job with an experienced driver

Who pays for your training?

Nu-Venture will pay for your training.


If you leave the employment of Nu-Venture for any reason within two years, you will be required to pay back a proportionate amount.


Alternatively, you can pay for the training yourself should you wish to do so.

Once Qualified

The normal working week

The normal working week comprises of alternate five-day (Monday to Friday) weeks alternating with a six-day working week (Monday to Friday plus a weekend day). Average annual earnings approximately £33,000


This means two complete weekends off every four weeks and working one day of the other two weekends.
